Counselling:
If you have experienced counselling before, then you may have insight into what it entails and perhaps have formed expectations of what a good therapeutic experience might include. If not, then you may be asking what counselling is and what you could expect from it.
Counselling involves talking therapy, featuring a professional therapeutic relationship between Counselling Practitioner and client; the exact purpose and characteristics of which will be agreed upon during an initial session.
Within a therapeutic relationship, I would offer you safe, empathic, intuitive, non–judgemental and confidential engagement, supporting you through the challenging process of unpacking and re–evaluating painful events, relationships and / or situations whose impact remains detrimental in the present.
Nobody can change the past, but I do believe that within a deeply empathic, nurturing environment it is possible to reconsider historic perspectives and by developing effective coping mechanisms and self–awareness, embrace the future with greater confidence.
Committing the time and effort to examine beliefs, attitudes and behaviours held can be incredibly rewarding and affirming.
As detailed within the “About The Practice” section of my website, I have extensive experience in working with a range of concerns. Please see the “How I Can Help You” tab, to learn more about the presentations I have assisted clients with previously.
If you are then ready to book an initial assessment, please either contact me directly or use the form on the “Contact” section of my website.
